Meloncino: The culinary 'Weakest Link' - V&A Waterfront, Cape Town
Fab location, spacious, funky interior. Menu? Too large and HOPELESSLY overpriced. Wine selection aimed at those who know very little and all wines at least double the retail price. Food quality? Average and not worth the price. Unimaginative.
Obviously overspent on interior design/decorating and now customers have to pay for it.
Exploiting tourists with strong currencies and alienating local support - but so do most of the establishments in the V&A!
